My all-time favorite fairy tale! I love some of these interpretations; I'm only sad I missed out on it myself!
Oh yes, and the contest! Enter me!
Beauty and the Beast is one of my all time favorite fairy tale stories that I grew up on, and I cannot wait until it comes out on DVD in November! I thought it was very interesting to see how different people interpret Beauty and the Beast in different ways. One of my favorites was the one where they share a diary of Bells sister. It is always interesting to read the person who brings evil into the story other than the parent. It is all in her perspective and it gives how she feels. In a way I seemed to think she cared more for Bella than she wants to make it out to be, but of course we are all stingy like them sometimes, especially towards our siblings. I also really like the picture in “I am a Beast”. It represents how a lot of us can feel when we feel alone and disliked. Everything around us is blurred and we are so down that we just feel like we cannot go on. Overall, I think there were great illustrations and ideas being expressed.
