What's a Beauty to do the first day after she has woken up from a century's nap? Can she walk? Do her teeth hurt? Is she thirsty? Is she terrified?
Does it all feel wrong? Is the world too different? Is the prince charming? Does she realize he's the wrong guy and run off with a footman?
Is she dreadfully hungry? Does she drink too much wine and get drunk and fall asleep again?
You don't have to answer any of these questions to submit something for the "Sleeping Beauty's First Day Writing Contest," but we hope many people will submit stories.
It must be acknowledged that we have some great entries already!
And don't forget the comment contest. All you need to do is comment at length (150 words) and with flair on any post in in the current issue to be considered.

Now, about the image. This lovely confection is of a costume from a production of the ballet "Sleeping Beauty." Theresa Blake, an outrageously talented couturier and costumier, produced this tutu. If you love beautiful costumes and historical period clothes, you simply must check out her site, Rossetti Couture.

Oh, eep. I am still last-minute-ly rushing through this one. Hope I can submit it by the deadline! The deadline is midnight in what timezone, exactly?
